Any reason behind this, or any way we can fix this manually?

My ping went from 50s to 80s a long time ago. Barely noticable with this phenomenal unlag feature. Is unlag really that potent or is 50 to 80 just not noticable?

It's a combination of both. My issue with the server though isn't just the 50ms increase in ping. I should have named the topic differently. The issue is that it is unplayable for anyone that is west like me. In the past I was able to play on the server with 150 ping or higher with no problem. But now it's literally broken and nothing registers at all for me. I am not sure if it is just a routing issue or perhaps something changed in the antilag. Or something else entirely. But it's an issue since this is the last pub server left.

Interesting. I see euros with a 150 ping play with swift crispness so the problem must indeed be something else. I remember in Quake Live not too long ago Argentina servers were down for a long time, might still be. If I remember correctly, this was around the time where some Falklands island incident was going on. I also remember reading about French servers having some difficulties. Now I have no idea what is really going on but for hilarities purposes I'm gonna go ahead and say I suspect conspiracy. I suspect they are intensly pro Nazi and are purposefully sabotaging connections to your area.

I don't think the high pings are really an issue since some of the euros players continue to own with 150+ pings. The packet loss and frames not arriving on time are the issues. I now ping 80+ to a server I should ping under 20ms to. I want to drive to the datacenter and smack the retards over there! As much as I love RTCW and enjoy being a part of ECGN I refuse to play and get aggravated.

Code: Select all
Ping statistics for 69.65.113.18:
    Packets: Sent = 57, Received = 51, Lost = 6 (10% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 77ms, Maximum = 80ms, Average = 78ms

You say the problem is with the information being sent to the server so I assume a data center is not where the server is. What is a data center and is there anything that can be done to correct the problem? Why would you admin and make a website for a server you yourself refuse to play on?

It wasn't always like this. I just refuse to play there when the network is having problems because I get aggravated. For me it best to avoid the stress.

I made the website for all you people to have a place of your own separate from powervs. I also host the Web site too and even if MAA decided to take away my admin privileges I would still continue to host it.

No packet loss for me but an outrageous ping. Would you explain just what the heck is going on? Can anything be done?

The ping is high in the evening, seems like a capacity bottleneck of some kind.

The ping shouldn't make as much difference as it normally would because unlagged is on.

It's the spikes that are bad
