While this is absolutely true. Stuff you do is just as tiring. It's been really nice on the server sans silent.[/quote]

Re: mOO's topic II
The joy of time and perspective is the resulting knowledge that this very conversation has occurred, regularly, since at least when I started playing here back in 2003. We're a consistent bunch, aren't we?
The few chances I get to play these days (family, job, house... not much time for gaming, really) I'm generally impressed with how pleasant things are, to be honest. I like seeing some old names and clan tags from time to time. There's more imbalance between teams than I remember from the "good old days" (whenever that was), but at least when I'm on it seems to self-correct over the course of a few matches as those doing the dominating get bored and either leave or switch teams themselves, just for a different challenge.
I think the newer Admins are doing a really good job, and I'll freely admit I wasn't so certain about some of the choices. It's been interesting to see how they react to the level of constant shit those of us who've been here a while (just B and I are left from the core admin group, I think. With a few like Mastery and the like who check in now and again) take. We develop our own methods to deal with problems and find a middle ground. I'm more hands off; others are more hands on. I won't argue one is better than the other since they achieve different things. It's just interesting how consistent the "solutions" really are, and have been, over the course of a decade. There are no magical new ideas for how to admin a game server, nor does there need to be.
Anyway. Carry on!

Thanks for the support Magus - I would think you also would be a good candidate :)
As far as Silent goes, and others like him that have 30,000 aliases, I never know who said player is.
Lately, I have been playing Urban Terror and other games, and continue to be amazed at how violatile and spiteful many Wolf players are. There is barely any bitterness going on in these other games. Guys like Source only want to try and make someone feel bad by being as mean as possible. It's amazing that RTCW players are so much unlike players in other games, IMHO. I'm guessing it is due to one of the facets of Wolf that make us love it - the emotionality involved in it. Very unfortunate that there are such hateful people out there who not only want to ruin other player's fun, but also drive a stake through them at every opportunity.
I try to make my team better by me being on it. I would love to make everyone's gaming experience better by me playing with them. The consideration of other player's fun is one of my top priorities. That may be arguable by my joy of "Go For Skullz!!!" but that is mostly because playing the same map over and over takes away the objective aspect of it for me. I realize that that is not very fun for skulled players waiting for the game to end. But just one request from a good guy on the other team to run them in entices me to do it.
Good guys like Likethat have map-changing ability and when he's on its a good time. It seems to be the more inert players like Kman and Iron Eagle who say little-to-nothing might be the last ones standing....

The few chances I get to play these days
I'll wait to hear the opinion of someone who actually plays. The other day it was raining grenades out of nowhere. You can try and justify such wicked hacks all you want, but it is wickedness.
Re: mOO's topic II
If I know I have to pick up my daughter in 20 min., I wont switch maps... etc..
You have a daughter yet you follow little ole me around on a Wolfenstein forum? Your daughter could be getting mauled by a pack of wild wolves as we speak and you'd be here trolling an ancient video game. I'm appalled. I question wether you are really a father or not.

Your choice, but, again: I can speak from the perspective that people were insisting the same unbearable voodoo existed ten years ago as do now.
We all have a lot of choices when we play games. Me, you, all of us, should play the ones that make us happy. Seems a waste to spend time on one that frustrates you. Because if something about that game has been true for 10 years (10 years!), I'm confused from where you feel a solution will come from in year 11?
Re: mOO's topic II
Nobody is hacking on the server. The only people that complain about hacks are noobs who can't strafe properly. If you spec these people you think are suspicious you can easily tell they are not hacking by their movement. You can't hack good movement and strafing

I wish B would just ban him from the forum already!

That is because it is not some fantastical sorcery or witchcraft. It is a computer program.
Nobody is hacking
So now no one hacks and hackers don't exist? Stop lying.

Wouldn't it be more of a waste of time to set up a server for the express purpose of frustrating kidz with cheats? Is this what the Nazis have been reduced to? It is no wonder we live in an era of relative peace. The Nazi's are too retarded to deal with Israel's overwhelming technological superiority.

Not on ECGN, no. You are just terrible
Re: mOO's topic II
Do any of the people who cry hacks ever go spec, demo the person they believe to be hacking to show the proof? No. If they really believed it to be true, they would take the action necessary- it's pretty clear it's a childish reaction to being owned by someone with far better skill than them. There are players who take you down with 3 hs, but then the next time you meet them 1 v 1 you take them down and you realise it can't be hacks- there is a degree of chance involved.
Who is Zabad? He's hijacked this genuine thread by Euro and now it's all about hacking, which is just bullshit- makes me think he's one of the asshats pissing everyone off on the server and just wants Junior to lock this thread, so he's diverted it. Twerp.

Re: mOO's topic II
I have followed and taken punkbuster screenshots of the majority of the #pro players and did not find any evidence of aimbotting or wallhacking.
