Trying to play single player , need help.
my mp works as you know.
Tried to start up a single player game to mess around.
I get this error on start up. Screen goes grey and stays there. When I minimize I have the error in a smaller window.
recursive error after: ^3menu file not found: ui_mp/menus.txt, using default
Anyone have a fix that doesn't include reinstalling?
Thanks.

Re: Trying to play single player , need help.
The only way I was able to play single player in the past was to reinstall in a 2nd new folder and not patch this 2nd RTCW.

Sounds like you're missing your pak0.pk3

Had the same problem when I decided to run single player, I was missing a good amount of pk3s. Also remember to run as Administrator once you've got all your pk3s, if not you may end up with another error.
Here's a screen shot of my main folder for my wolfSP.

I had to retrieve all sp_pak.pk3s because after my installation the CD left out a lot of these.
You can retrieve all these quite easily, either look for them online or put in your wolfenstein CD, and browse through your installation folders, they should be in there. Good luck!

I don't even see a sp main folder
but I did find pak0.pk3 in my main folder
so... I copied it,, renamed it sp_pak0.pk3 and placed it in my main folder with the plain pak0.pk3
didn't work.
got the same error. should I delete that sp_pak0.pk3 now?

Re: Trying to play single player , need help.
There isn't a seperate main folder for sp. It's the same main folder everything else is in
Don't rename it. It supposed to be pak0.pk3
If you have a seperate install directory for single player you need to copy pak0.pk3 into that main folder along with the sp_pak*.pk3's

That screenshot is referring to my main folder for RtCW not singleplayer main folder(doesn't exist). I just wanted to show you that way you can verify with your main folder on which pk3s you're missing.
Check your files/folders in your installation of RtCW, they should all be there. If not, google is your best friend!
