Re: Cup
I get excited when these things come up and I think that I would love to play. And then the time comes to do so, and it's the last thing I want to do. It reminds me of people taking the game so seriously, even though it still is in the vein of "fun". If it's 3v3, I wouldn't, but I have to admit that I had fun during 2 of our 4 6v6 matches of the first Anniverary Cup earlier this year.
Re: Cup
okay lets 1v1 some day teq on a osp server in north america with no unlag and see how u do i reckon u'll lose pretty damn bad, let me know any time
anyways what im getting at is that when tournaments are based solely in a specific region with no unlag will be very brutal for the people from a foreign area. especially since this 3v3 cup will be in europe only, maybe next time...

teq cant aim or kill with 40 ping anyway
Re: Cup
My money's on Murk! Yep, when we played that British team on Assault, we were getting killed 5-6 times before we knew where guys were to shoot back. Our bullet tracers were literally 10 feet behind their heads. and you get 6 minutes to adjust! It was totally dumb. And then, of course, they've got all kinds of tweaks, boosts, etc. to get a way better ping on NA servers than we did on theirs. I play the game completely stock, so all I could do was play eng and hope someone could guide me there. Maybe that's all I do anyway :)
Re: Cup
On shrub you don't get blood removed, solid/colored crosshair, ffa exploit fixed, docs fixed, pause etc etc..netcode is anything but perfect in shrub as well. Antilag or unlag to be more precise is not really well integrated as there's quite a lot of hit and miss things going on.
Bottom line, OSP was developed with competition in its mind, shrub wasn't. Regardless of OSP's antilag or rather lack of it, it still makes it a better choice for competition over any other mod atm.
