Bought RTCW on steam

Seeing an "Empty GUID key or not permitted on this server"
the other active server seems like all bots, i'm hoping there is real player on this! i Love to play rtcw back in the day.

First make sure you're running the game as Admin as this can cause some issues, unless your running anything older than XP.

Next, you'll need a CD key.
1. You can get one VIA steam for 10.99(I could be wrong) and you get the complete game.
2. You can try a CD key generator(be careful using these as many are already banned, or have issues)
3. If you have a previous CD key, it's really easy to set up. Go to options > Enter CD key > Enter CD key > Restart rtcw and check if CDkey is still there > Enjoy some rtcw. :)

Steam does give you a key (filename is rtcwkey) but I'm guessing you sorted it out already since you've been playing since posting this.

(You still do need a key even when using iortcw client)
