The movie itself was really good! I could have done without the whole "Troy McLure's Pre Teen Soul Machine" Zion dance party scene... WTF was that all about anyway?

Saw the movie last night, it was AMAZING!!
FAR FAR better than the original. I loved the fight scenes, the graphics were amazing, and the story line was great.
A really, really great movie.
I didn't really REALLY like 'the matrix' but I am definantly buying 'reloaded' when it comes out on DVD, this sequel is soooo much better than the original!

Yes, I thought the rave scene and love scene was way too long.....if you're going to show a love scene that long in an action movie, at least show frontal of the lead female (aka Trinity) hehe...
The movie would of been fine without that party scene...

Yeah i saw matrix this afternoon, i didnt like it as good as the first one, Yes the first half hour sucked and the dance seen sucked ASS!!!! Ill still buy it on dvd just because of the sceens, there was way to much chattering in the movie and its like they just put in the fight sceens because everyone wanted them to be there, other wise they would have had all talk. WAY TO MUCH HYPE!!!! T3 will be a shit load better!!!

There is more beyond the Matrix than just action...
I.e.
Metaphysicians will not yet be satisfied. "Matrix," is from the Latin for "mother," and originally meant "womb" (it is used in the Old Testament five times with this meaning), or "pregnant female." In several contexts it means a sort of substrate in which things are grown and developed. Given this etymology, the Matrix might have been the concrete thing that includes the collection of deceived humans in their vats. A more modern meaning of "matrix" is based in mathematics: a rectangular arrangement of symbols. In Reloaded, when Morpheus was preaching to all those dancers in the cave, he is parallel of Peter in the Bible who did the same amongst the people since Christianity was outlawed by the Romans...
Neo exiting the elevator was greeted by many people who "worshipped" him, the same happened to Jesus Christ amongst the peoples, a woman asked Neo to heal her child, Jesus healed many people when he entered Jerusalem.
Jesus' birth, death and ressurrection was prophesied by Prophets whom were referred to as Oracles in the Bible, Neo was prophesied by the Oracle... Neo died and came back to life in 3 minutes, Jesus died and came back in 3 days. Both Neo and Jesus were powerful and could not be defeated after their ressurrection. Jesus rose into the heavens when he was ressurected, Neo was seen flying into the sky at the end of the first Matrix.
Coincidence? I think not and many others would agree.

Anyone want to take a stab at how Neo was able to stop the Sentinels in real space?
I find the idea that "reality" is just another layer of the simulation to be a bit trite. Is it real or is it Holodeck?
I had an idea Wednesday night after seeing it that maybe since they were at broadcast depth at the time that Neo has some sort of biological wireless network going on now. The Oracle mentions something about him becoming the One changed him in a way that had never happened before.
If I understand things properly the Matrix can;t be the only program the machines have running. It must just be a small part of the total computing power they have at their disposal. The network that the Matrix resides on must contain other functions as well, communication for the sentinels for instance that has nothing to do with the simulation that is the Matrix.
I would imagine that the machines have at least advanced as far as a wireless network. They don't appear to be hacking into a fiber line, although they do mention land lines in the first movie. Perhaps Neo can project his will into the machines network if he is at "broadcast depth", which may just be an analogy for within wireless range.
Anyway, anyone have any thoughts on the matter?
Oh loved the movie BTW. I thought the conversation between Neo and the ORacle and Neo and the Architect were very dense ones. I have to see it a few more times to make sure I got everything the Architect said in the conversation. We all remember that Smith punched Neo and tried to copy himself into Neo remember? Perhaps when that happened, Smith may have transfered some code into Neo's mind that allowed him to stop those Sentinels, it is probable is it not?

On other discussion boards, many have theorized the the real world with Zion is another layer in the programming, but others would argue it would defeat the purpose of the Matrix because that would mean there are many layers of reality or Matrixes, and the question would always remain, what is the real world? How deep does the Matrix go?
Think about that one for a bit...

Ill take a stab at it. My guess right now is that there is a matrix outside of the matrix. Like a dreamworld inside of another dreamworld or something of that sort. It's a complete guess; b/c to almost anyone, the Matrix Reloaded did a good job...This is one cliff-hanger I can't make a good guess of what happens next. I'll just have to wait until November to see Revolutions; did anyone stay after the credits to see the sneak preview?
