Question

I have P4 1.7ghz Geforce4Ti4600 128mb and 768mb ram.
Why cant any of my games run over 60fps? And yes I have set the refresh rate to my monitors maximum and have the latest drivers.

Some help please

I have a P4 1.7GHz, 520Megs RDRAM and a GF3Ti200 and I get 90FPS in RTCW.

What OS are you running? Win98SE?

Jefro - it sounds like you have VSync turned on. That will lock it at a maximum of your refresh rate.

I have a slightly faster processor but not as good a V-card and I can get FPS in battlefield over 200 at times. Though mostly it runs around 100.

in you display properties/settings/advanced...there will be a tab that sets the d3d and open gl properties...
it will be on there somewhere....depending on the drivers you got installed

Just to illustrate that I can be a very pedantic little shit, shouldn't this thread be in the Q&A section?

Should I have put this question in a new thread, in the Q&A section?

Does the endless questioning effectively make this a whinge, and if so should this post be moved to the complaints section?

If two trains 20 miles apart are heading towards each other at 120 miles per hour on the same track, with the wind blowing to the west, does anyone give a damn?
