What Was Up W/ The Server last Night??

Don't get me wrong Im not knocking the webmaster/ServerAdmins but Jesus, the server stuttered more than drunk dude with a speech impediment. What I was wondering was , does the great performance the server usually has get degraded severly when a dialup logs in?.

Or is it just the way of the net , or the needed monthly reboot?.

In any case I had such a good itchin to play last night , and just inquiring why there is so much lag lately on normally a pretty fast setup.

Well its actually due to the fact that the server that beach is running on is loaded down.

And its YOUR fault!!!

Well partly anyway.....

The website has been getting more and more hits everyday, and since it runs on the same box as the beach server, its been lagging it due to lack of resources. On top of that, the Wolf bot AND the BF1942 bot all run on this box, so its been a lot for it to handle.

We are building a Dual Xeon 2.0 ghz machine and as soon as we get a few more parts for it, we'll move it there. Should be much better.

That new machine sounds nice, Xeons are like processors inside processors right? cause the dual Xeon I looked at showed 4 processors but only 2 chips where installed.
