Well it looks like we have a winner! By his own use of words,
Charged has revealed himself to be an authentic punk.

So let's define 'punk' with the help of my
RANDOM HOUSE Webster's College Dictionary:

punk 1 - a spongy substance derived from tree fungi.

punk 2 - Slang. a. something or someone worthless or unimportant. b. a young ruffian;
hoodlum. c. an inexperienced youth. d. a young male partner of a homosexual.
Archaic. a prostitute.
And finally, this: a style or movement characterized by the adoption of aggressively
unconventional and often bizarre or shocking clothing, hairstyles, etc., and the defiance
of social norms, usu. associated with punk rock musicians and fans.

I don't dispute his authenticity but I am still having a tough time discerning which definition best fits.:D

Charged if I come at you bro, its about being punk. Do you know where your going? Can you change the path? You've felt the pressure of being different, but how did it mold you? All I have seen is hate. I know my words don't mean shit to you but how about Conflict. Can you understand them?

"If people laugh because their mind is drifting, they’re acting out the part
Of not holding any feelings or having any heart
Just smile in their face and then walk away for they will realise one day
As life moves on and they grow old they will realise they have been living the way they’re told

That their life has been a sacrifice to Government’s systematic lies
That true friendship is inseparable and emotions if used responsibly
Will light the spark for all to see the start of our mass unity
Human natures winning answer, a true reflection of what is you and me" ~ A Message to Whom

As we wax prosaic, I am reminded of the immortal words of the Deteriorata...

"You are a fluke of the Universe...
You have no right to be here!
And whether you realise it or not,
The universe is laughing at you,
behind your back!!!"

Enough of these putrid pontifications... go kill someone on the beach! :)

My sage advice on this matter of disestablishmentarianism, the soul and maturity cycles.

What kills me about a lot of this is that people think they are the first, or recently graduated first, of this novel concept 'find the true meaning of life and the soul'.

We've been repeating this pattern for several hundred thousand years. There's always some form of tyranical control, a source compromising individual reflection and inspiration in order to mould the majority into a cohesive work-force.
Any group of 'rebels' by the very core problem of humans (namely our mental/spiritual/physical/emotional differences and abilities) has to structure itself, even when fighting as a 'whole' against 'oppression' into a hierarchal system.

The rebels are fighting a hierarchal system, but must form the very same type of system in order to get the most out of it's elements.

Thus, the same system is born again. Sometimes the 'rebels' (Bolshieviks, French peasants) do manage to take down the old hierachy.

There is always a brief period of time (usually directly corelated to the size of the oppressive force, the efficiency of the oppressive force (Nazi Germany), the size and efficiency of the rebel force) after a successful 'coup' of the 'higher' system where mild to severe anarchy breaks out.

It would be nice if once the 'oppressive gov't' has been vanquished that all humans would suddenly feel love for each other, and, even harder, work of their own volition towards the greater good of the community (Marxism). Alas, such never happens.

Why does this never happen? Because we arn't created equally. And I mean ethically equally. Jack grows wheat. Ingrid barters a few of her sheep for some of Jacks wheat. Everyone's happy. Untill Bob comes along. Bob isn't good at growing things, or tending animals. In fact, Bop doesn't really have any natural skills he enjoys doing. Except for fighting. And he's got to live, right? Bob threatens Ingrid and gets a sheep. He threatens Jack and gets some wheat. While he's eating all this, Ingrid and Jack form a coalition to oppose Bob. Bob comes back, suddenly faceing two people instead of one. He goes off hungry until he meets another hungry guy named Ryan. Ryan and Bob do a surprise attack on Ingrid, rape her, eat her sheep, then beat the crap out of Jack. So much for our pastoral community where everyone gets along.

The community down the road saw all this happen and decide to form a militia.

Abstract your own conclusions and project it 10,000 years. What you end up with is highly structured social environments that try to be a compromise between making the 'tribe' feed itself, defend itself, propogate itself, and try to maintain, all the while, a sense of individual expression.

So, if you really want to be mature and brave, look at someone like Ghandi. He never raised his fist once, yet managed to, just by the simple act of getting salt from the local sea-shore (the British had declared the salt-trade as theirs and controlled it mercillesly--to the point that no Indians were allowed to gather salt for themselves) sway nearly a billion people into a massive, peaceful protest against oppression. Not that it worked for long. India is now one of those 'rogue nuclear states'.

So, after this long, tangential, and poorly put-together synopses of human social dynamics, what's the moral? Take care of yourself. Be healthy, keep in sight the grandeur and marvel of life, defend yourself against oppression, but be wary of cults and groups who promise to do the same in the 'safety' of numbers.

Look at bikers. Some of the thorniest rebels in our system today. Yet they act the same, look the same, think muchly the same. Tough guys? I think not. Anyone who joins a kick-ass group automatically is lost in my opinion. The trully tough fight the battle alone.

lol keek is irght. ya know, i may be a punk, but believe it or not..i'm purely 100% conservative AKA republican. I support most of the government's moves, and I have pride in our country. I think the United States is the best country in the world, and I have no reason to change it. 'Punks' don't know that. They want tosmething to try and change, though they don't know what. It had to be the funniest thing in the world, them hating the government because they aren't wealthy or successful. Immaturity, yes, I'm immature for fighting I'm sure, but hell, in my own experiences, that's the only way I can get people toshut their mouths.

Conservative, eh? There may yet be hope for Charged.:D

And Keek, damn...I may not always agree with you but you at least seem to have a head on your shoulders. And when I don't agree with you, it's still better than reading anything from the likes of Anton or Bloodbudda (remember that weird mess - anything wild and crazy that Keek said was perfectly reasonable compared to their ramblings).

Hey charged, I'm curious... you call yourself a punk, but if someone came up to you and called you a fuckin punk, would you go and kick their ass?

I always thought that calling someone a punk was a good way to start something with them...
