Got the game a short while after release. I liked the 48+ people games so I searched for servers that met this. Always a short list. Played a few EA/Nvidia servers and some others and eventually found OC48. The server was always full, lots of good play on it, take no bull admins, and my connection was good so I made this my BF1942 home away from home.

Finally broke down and got a broadband connection last fall... after that, started to do some online gaming (RTCW NOV '02)...
Once on that game for a little while, found the OC48 24/7 beach... and became hopelessly addicted... after a while, found the forums and then stats... stats was the big thing for me at the time, but after I saw all of the ways they could be manipulated, they don't hold much weight anymore... although, I do think it would be cool if that style of stat system could be put into BF 1942...
Now, am a semi-forum whore and full-fledged wisenheimer

Played the multiplayer demo when it first came out. Then bought the game on day 1.
Started looking for servers with 30+ people. Played on EA and nVidia servers for awhile. Then, I found one called OC48 that had friendly fire on and alot of players. Played it for awhile and got into an argument with an admin then a kick. Found the website and was about to post a bitch. Started reading the forums and server rules and realized that I wasn't on EA/nVidia anymore. Got back on the server, played with a more team-oriented style, and got to know who-was-who. Started listening in on TS and got a kick out of it. Been here ever since...

I almost gave up the game before finding OC48/ECGN. I played on the EA servers because I didnt know any better and thought that this was the dumbest game ever. Don't really know how I came across the server, but I'm glad I did. Oh, and I also won a photoshop contest and was given a $50 gift certificate by the OC48 Boys, so I decided to stick around.

I found the BF server in November last year. Was desperately searching for a large (48+ players) server, FF on, and the death cam set to free mode. Played the game my way in a fairly stable environment for a few weeks. Met GOOD for the first time playing OMG, when the little SOB had parachuted onto a roof top near the middle flag. Finally went scout and killed his ass, and immediately called him a lame dickhead, just as the map ended. Next map loads: YOU SHOULDN'T CALL AN ADMIN A DICKHEAD *BOOT*. I rejoin the server, and ended up BSing with him for most of that game session. Still didn't notice the TS info or the website then...
Then I ran into HIM (Kristov) early in December, playing Iwo Jima. Long story short, he kicked me and then preceeded to piss me off when I asked for an explanation in game. So much so that I came to the forums and posted in an already present thread that was bitching about Kristov the admin (imagine that). Since that time I have come to change my opinion of his admin style. We argue back and forth in the forums for a couple of days, and I end staying on the forums from then on... Took me another couple of weeks to bother with TS, the gaming world has yet to recover from that.
Like Camel I was amazed that they hadn't gotten rid of me... Then it dawned on me, they were getting revenge by making me an admin. The sneaky SOB's.

The gaming world has yet to recover from when you first played a video game!

Like Evan, i also was searching for a CS server for my friends and I. Were going to run one out of his basement on Cable connection, but didnt have the money to build a server. I Found a website listing some server providers. Most of the links on that website were dead, but the only one that worked was ECGN. I found they had an IRC server, and not knowing a damn thing about IRC, connected and found their channel. Well, i bugged the hell out of them. I became a customer, and was always active in the community. The forums were small, and the IRC channel was usually empty, i did everything possible to help out. After about a month of posting in the forums, and being constantly active in IRC, one of their Technicians quit. I took my chances, and applied for the posistion. I talked to Nate (company president at the time) and he accepted me into the posistion.
And here I am today! Im sure you all are thrilled after reading my story.. heh.

I bought BF1942 1st day of release, but couldn't really play on a server with a high number of players because thenetcode BLEW. Few months later, after netcode was improved, I found OC48 server and played on that for a while.
Read the little message that pops up whenever you join a server, followed the link and it brought me here!
This is the best place to play BF, nothing else can hold a candle to it, well, I did play with WOG (or OWG or somethign like that) but I like this place the best.

Well lets see..............I bought bf in December and started playing on the ea and nvidia servers. I got relly tired of the idiocy that went with those servers but I really loved the game (bf being the first multiplayer fps game that I ever played). I thought it would be cool if there was some kind of voice comm. to go with the game. To get away from the ea idiots, I started trying different servers, thats when I found OC48. Started playing here almost exclusively and while playing with Krisyov one day, I saw him mention something about TS. Started talking to him about it, he told me to go to the forums and get the link. (one of the main reasons why I didnt like seeing Kristov leave was that he was the one that got me started using TS..........thanks Kristov) Anyway Ive been here ever since.
