I may just look into a new brand of video card now... I hate it when companies do stuff like this.

We should care why? Unless you're some sort of idiot, only trust the driver's Nvidia releases or supports and you won't ever have a problem that Nvidia will 'turn their backs to'.

Nvidia is the way to go.

ATI is just as good as nvidia. Ati's drivers are as good as nvidia's.

The omega drivers are nvidia drivers, but the author tweaks many aspects of them to make the end results so much better then the stock drivers. It just sucks that they have pushed him to stop putting out his version of the drivers.

I perfer to just download the official Nvidia drivers and tweak them myself using Rivatuner.

he talked about his omega drivers fixing texture quality, I just turned texture sharpening on, on my nvidia I'm totally happy with textures, and when I tried an ATI in this machine, it didn't work at all. I think Nvidia in some cases does some dumb stuff. all companies do.
