Cid! My biggest fan! Welcome back, mang
Haven't been playing wolf much lately because for some reason my ping has been high enough to fuck up my framerate whenever I get close to someone... I wish I could figure out WTF is doing it... oh well, NBD tho cause I'm playing a lot of BF1942 now...
Playing with Teamspeak brings a whole 'nother dimension to gaming, it's hard to go back...

I was having problems before the patch, but managed to figure them out... I did just about everything possible to my machine:
flashed the bios, changed all the services settings, downloaded some apps for spyware elimination, turned off HD indexing, turned off Norton protected trash bin, got a memory optimizer app, got that powerstrip app from agent-commando's thread(thanks!), installed a soundcard(did have onboard sound), and that's just what I can remember...
Thanks to Buliwyf and Agent and everyone else who contributed an idea
It runs like a dream now... even after the 1.4 patch... I have all settings cranked and very few problems... don't know what the framerates are, but the only time I have any problems seems to be when everyone else is getting them too (server side, I guess)...
You should come on over and check it out

Hmm, I think that your cpu and mem would work, but not sure about that vidcard. Have heard bad things about the GF4 MX series cards...
You can get a pretty decent card now for less than $100, If I were you I would think about upgrading it slightly...
Just got a Gainward Nvidia 5200FX for $85 for a machine I built... a damned good card for that money... you can find that one cheaper on the net, too...
