TombRaider AOD . . . Pass on it.

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

TombRaider AOD . . . Pass on it.

Tomb Raider AOD offically blows the big one kids. The graphics are phoenominal, but the control scheme is sooooooo bad, it renders the game unplayable. Think Resident Evil minus the ability to move in more than one direction at a time. Basically, you have to walk, stop to turn, turn, stop to walk, walk, stop turn, etc. etc. ad infinitum. Let's not even get into alarmingly complex and unintuitive controls for jumping, climbing, etc..

Save your money or invest it bubblegum.

How can anything possibly be worse than RE when it comes to controls?

Believe me, they managed to do it. I don't know how, but they managed.

Really? I played ALL the tombraider games, and was hooked on 'the last revalation' big time, but the AOD was in development sooooo long i lost interest in the game.

how could they have changed the controls in this game? They've been the same in all 5 or 6 games so far...

maybe they'll fix it in a patch. Either way, I think I'll wait for the demo before I buy this game.

Nope - they beat the crap out of the controls - can't control the camera anymore, no strafing, and overall crappy movement. I get more pissed every time I try to play it in hopes that I'll get used to it.

Very unhappy - I had been waiting for this for a LONG time. It's almost like the developers didn't even bother to play test the game.

I thought this game was going to be PERFECT and problem free. It's been in development for what, 3 years or something? Maybe 4? It's been delayed time and time again, and then they release a trashy game?

eeek, well, I will have some free time later on this summer, perhaps I'll pick it up in a little while and see what's up.

Damn! I just tried it I really got annoyed about the game, the control as someone has said are soooo bad, and there is no free camera like the other Tr games, It is imposible to see what you have in front of you when getting stuck to walls when the stealth mode is on, I press the sprint key and Lara seems doesn´t run faster

Really, this is exaclty what you SHOULDN'T do. People should trust the observations of those who bought it. When the developers get negative consumer feedback, coupled with WAY low sales from projections, then they will quickly fix it.

If people just go buy it anyway, then the developers will care less about fixing anything.

This is something we as consumers should get together about. Hit the developers in their pockets when they produce crap.

If he picks it up used, the developers won't get any more money.
