..actually, this parry/reposte between Doug and I goes back for awhile--as seen in the smoking room thread 'should we bomb Iraq y/n' (or something like that.
Once ired I have a tendency to hunker down and immediately 'strike' back--thus I should have likely kept my response into the afore-mentioned thread and not here.

1) I agree that we ALL undergo the brainwashing that you suggest. But, if you think that your "knowledge" of any of these truths is any more secure than those that you spotlight, than you fall prey for a the egocentrism seen in those you accuse. 2) See we each must get different reports, I have only seen how Saddam ransacked their art treasures. Who is correct? I don't know, but the point is that your information could be as flawed as anyone elses.
3) I have a feeling that you think so highly of yourself that you wouldn't listen to anyone.
If I agreed with you politically I would say the same. Forums are full of those that try so hard to act superior to others. I wish we all could show some more respect.

i find keek does a great job as a nadmin and i play a lot of wolf and the only server i play on is ECG Beach 24Hr..and i think he does a great job

Keek, interesting how you 'disappeared' (from that thread) around the time Anton came along. His arrival made me realize that I could at least respect and/or like you, if not your opinion.
It's already well known (or at least I thought so) that the museum story was way overblown; what little was taken was an inside job. You may wish to check your other 'facts' as well. (This is the part where I pat myself on the back for being so clever:P )
With that aside, I have to say please take it easy. I was just joking around and didn't expect you to go on a big-time rant. I thought you might see the humor in my post, but perhaps my wording was all wrong.
You've been having to put up with a lot of crap, and it's not my intention to add to that. I don't pick on people needlessly.
But please, when you post on such subjects in the future, try to keep the 'Anton' personality subdued.

Sannop...allow me to try and understand your logic. All sources of media/knowledge are propoganda. Therefore don't act?
How you arrive at the assumption that I'm on a high pedestal because I tend to believe a very wide array of information over the selected warped bits put on cnn and Fox news is beyond me. What I'm sensing is that because I challange what you believe, therefore that lends you the right to make character attacks upon me. Which is fine--you're in good company amongst these threads. It's been well shown in the Iraq thread when the pro-attack'ers were blasted with long lists of counter-information to that they were quaffing, all they could come back with more often than not were petty attacks about personality. 'Keek and Anton on high horses' parallels your vitriol.
Doug--I don't mind getting into the fray at all, as you know. I don't take it personally. I enjoy a good argument. Who is right really isn't important. While we all excercise our minds and fingers working in here we learn from each other and ourselves. As for me getting a lot of flack--I don't see it. Anyone that sticks there head above a trench to see what's going on is bound to get shot at. Comes with the territory. I enjoy life and voice my opinions. In the end I'd rather have people come to my grave and kick it a few times calling me a jerk then being the stone in the corner who's owner was forgotten within a few months of 'passing on'. I'm glad to see so many in here that do the same.
As for Anton, Doug, I give you my word we are two very distinct and different people. Anton is his real name. He is published in a variety of your more influential magazines and books in the States. His interests and writings span quantum mechanics to a local express-way project threatening a vital nature-preserve. He's someone who cares about this planet and the people and creatures on it. My own writings tend to creative publications. Between he and I, he is by far the more politically aware. A great source of knowledge regarding political history in this century. It might interest you to know that his brother is currently defending the ex-Serbian President in the World courts. A fascinating story--and one you'll never ever see on cnn or Fox news.
And Zog--I've mentioned before that I write/type extremely fast. It has taken me 6 minutes to put this together. So, long winded perhaps, but I can say a lot quickly.
