Weapons Problem

i was playing last night at about 3-4am eastern time. i would switch my weapon with the mouse wheel and my weapon/anything would disappear. i could push p and make my weapon drop and retake it and it wouldnt do anyhting. i would go into the limbo menu then back out and just generally bounce around after i felt patience wasnt the solution, still nothing. who knows maybe i just gotta slow down.
after about 45 seconds it would be good again. when it did reload you could hear it but not see it. or hear it but not see your gun move and still no ammo change. does that make sense. weird. first time with such bad weapon problems.

something like that happened to me a couple of days ago, but not since. hopefully it's just one of those gremlins that computers love to spawn:cool:

I had the same problem too, occasionally my gun/weapon would dissapear for a few moments then reappear. Since I was also playing the role of a medic, I had the strange task of reviving people without me being able to see my syringe..... :confused:

the same thing occurse to me to but i change weapon a couple of time and it's back there

I noticed this too...

It was as if my key binds got screwed up. I'd go to change weapons (from nade to venom using my wheel) and the weapon would just disappear. Like N said, I could throw/drop my weapon and pick it up again, but it would never show or fire.

I'd do just about anything to get it baclk (under pressure, as you can well imagine). I'd hit 'ESC' or go into Limbo and sometimes it would fix itself.

Very annoying.

Also, my key binds did get screwed up. I had to re-adjust a few keys.

I did play on a few OSP enabled servers recent;ly, and those completely screwed up my settings, but I was told it would only affect the OSP mod when it was enabled. Maybe this had something to do with it?

No demo yet, but I'll see what I can do.

im not familiar with demos...

but i know where it happened multiple times, i could pretty much screw myself up at will.

i was not able to shoot or anyhting..it was like it was inbetween weapons...thinking.

when i did it alot it was looking towards the radio stairs with a peek from the doorway of the downstairs axis barracks. smack dab inbetween the axis barracks and the basement.

the worst was having to escape the ducts and not kill what was coming, only able to yell V, 1, 4!

To start recording a demo type /record demoname in the console, to stop it type /stoprecord.

Type /demo demoname to play the demo

i can tell you 1 thing,i know why and wen my weapon disappear,the time my weapon disappear is when your outside(beach map)and having lots of peoples around you,ping is more high,lag is soo bad than my weapon disappear.my weapon never disappear inside the base,its maybe your answer

Every once in a while my weapons disappear, that is to say, I can not see or fire the weapon. I now use a tacticcal keyboard (thrustmaster) and this has not happened, a present from the holidays. Maybe it was just a glitch of sort and may not have anything to do with keyboard.

i did above, i get a little off track sometimes though...

i forgot to mention that you then roll mouse wheel to reload...bad stuff happens. i think the peek with Q and E is what does it. if i dont use peek to reload its good.

im not doin much right now so im gonna go see if i can make a demo using Weasel Meat's instructions.

it happened to me on a 5v5 match and the 50+matches at night...so i dont think ill have trouble recreating it.

when the server comes back on ill record it, ill let you know when i do.
