I never got into the OLRPGs. They jsut are not fun. How is wlkign around killing monsters for points fun? I woudl understand if there was an ongoing story, and actually fun adventures to go on, but without them, it is no fun.

Wow, I'm 2 for 2. First I declared Desert Combat a piece of ass and was proven right after everyone learned to hate it after a week of playing, and now my prediction that SWG is a boring intergalactic pastry-making simulator is bourne out by Buli cancelling his account.

HUZZAH! My inate ability to sniff out pc-game assfuckery continues unchallenged.

I really Liked ASheron's Call for about a year. The monthy updates allowed for a story line and there were always new quests to go on.

THen it got boring HAVING to game 8 hours a day to keep up with the Joneses.

I then Tried Anarchy Online. Any game that releases to the public without a way to CANCEL your account is bound to suck ass.

Then it was off to Dark Age of Camelot. Talk about a painful game. 36 hours nonstop of gaming to NOT advance a level. Dropped that like a bad case of foot fungus.

Then it was back to Anarchy Online again as it had been 6 months. I signed up for the free 7 day trial. Things went well and I signed up using the account I had been playing for a week. That is when the prorated a charge to my credit card for a partial month of service. Seems it was only a free trial if you did not go ahead and buy an account.

Then it was BF1942 and I have never looked back. My buddy Bif Powell once tried to get me to play AC that first week it was out. I replied, "I play FPS, that's all I need." I was playing a lot of CS beta and TFC. To bad I wasted 2 years playing those damn MMORPG's.

I would like to check out Middle Earth Online when it mes out to see if it might be fun. Also Turbine's D&D Online will be out in 2005. That would be cool to check out. World of Warcraft is going to be where it is at for that sort of thing though.

I remember S.S. One Person, you stopped playing RTCW because your mom said no more violent video games. You were missed though, and its a shame you had to move on.post from back in Dec 2002.

I'm just sorry I bought it at EB where I can't get a refund. Too much like work. I play games for fun. BF is perfection - just jump in and play.

Gave up on planetside, too. Not worth a monthly fee.

You guys are missing the whole point of what SWG is..

Buli: Sure you may master everything, but there is a LOT more to the game than mastering your professions! Starting or being in a guild is very challenging. Having battles between guilds or Rebel vs Imperial battles are awesome.

SWG is worth the $15/month. I can hardly stop playing it. Me and a few friends are planning to build a player run city for our guild. It's going to be so much hard work, but it'll be worth it.

Well I would rather get paid for work, no matter what the extra rewards may be.

Then again that is just me.
