I think everyone has spammed a little bit at some time or other... everything in moderation, doncha know
Like I said, I just think that some have been abusing the "little bit of spam" leeway in the last couple months or so...
I like your idea Camel, but will the guilty parties be willing to police themselves?
Maybe other regulars should point out the errors of their ways?
The only problem with this tactic is it tends to start flame wars, which are just as bad as spamming IMO...
That's why I think it has to be the forum moderators who have to step in. They are the ones with the authority... they may come out looking like the bad guys (as Evan has caught some teasing over
)... but I think if something meaningful is going to happen, it has to be from the admins...
Great opinions here, all (except for Doug

actually i find this forum to be the most 'spam free' compared to all the other forums out there.
you think this is spam? try having a normal conversation on the EA official boards...wow. I use to be a regular there a year ago, but it's just gotten nasty so I don't post there regularly anymore.
I think that if people wanna post some stuff that really doesn't belong anywhere else, why not post it in the smoking room? I mean, that room is there to just goof around with each other and not have a 'set' conversation.
The reason spam is happening more often is because there really isn't much to talk about in the BF world right now. SW isn't out yet, we're not hearing too much about BFV, so what else are people going to talk about?
When SW comes out, I'm sure we'll all see the spam go down a bit.
