Eh...not really!
Bf1942 was meant for multiplayer...
This game seems like it is leaning towards the Singleplay...
But I imagine multiplay will be fun

cool slow-down
start the level, at the very beginning at the dead cows, try to run into the mortar rounds that land next to u (hit the same place each time) time slows down, best effect of them all.

Is anyone having problems running this like me? I install it, and the level starts to load, and the I see the text ST. Mere Eglise or something 0020 hours, and I hear some voices, and gun shots in the background, but then it locks up on me. If anyone has any clue about what's going on, let me know. Thanks.
OMFG This game is going to be AWESOME!!! Provided that the levels don't go as fast as the demo level.
The sounds and effects are really sweet. And that "slowdown" effect that happens when a mortar hits near you is great.
I realized how much the hit-detection in BF takes away from the gaming experience. It was nice to play without hit detection. The game runs SOOO smooth, and the graphics and textures are sweet.
The UI is great, and I like how the game hits at what key to use to do stuff based on your custom binds.
I give the demo an A+

That was the most intense gunfight I ever had in a long time...I cannot wait for the full game to come out now... I like how you have to think and flank enemies, using tactics to take them out. Especially that machine gunner on the halftrack, you have to flank him and take him out with like a headshot.
Sweet demo, graphics are awesome, the sounds are just amazing, it got me sitting at the edge of my seat...

Seems like MOH 2.0.
Guess what, MOH in the long run was boring once the novelty wore off. Sure it was cool on the beach, or looking out of the bunkers to see allies running up the beaches. But in the end it was a crappy game with a cool atmosphere.
Multi consisted of nothing new(death, team death, objective, LMS, etc) all played on small maps.
Same will be here.
Sad that games are still being released in this 'dieing' format.
It is apparent that HL2, Far Cry and STALKER are ushering in a new era of FPS games: unscripted, large enviroments, and (a verying degree of)vehicles. I see BF1942 as the best we could get with 'old' technology, and only really multiplayer(single sucks). It is great bridge to the next level, and I look forward to BF Vietnam.
