Stories Medics and Lieutenants
Hi there,
I'm terribly frustrated. Here is the reason:
many lieutenants in the game are more worried about reloading for airstrikes than about your zero-level of ammo!! 4 hours ago, I was in the game, as american, surounded by 2 Lt's, asking for ammo, asking, shouting, crying... nothing! After a long time, the dropped. This maneer of playing is, according to me, scandalous. What is the need to be Lt if it's not to help others by giving ammo? Beware, all of the Lt players are not that kind but some well...
On the other hand, there are medics...Most of the time, you don't have to wait too long (ok, excepted if you're in the asshole of the map (sorry :-) ) )for them and thanks for this.
My conclusion could be: players being medics seem to be more team-players than players who play Lt...
And I repeat, I'm talking here about SOME Lt, not all Lt's, hopefully...
Greetings

It takes time, and who wants to waste 7 seconds giving out a pack of ammo, rather than going out and getting raped by panzers? meds? flamers? venoms?
I really don't think leuts tend to be any less of team players than medics. When I'm on axis, and its either a small game or I can't grab a panzer, I'll often go leut if I see we don't have very many. Stingy assholes who play leut will probably be stingy asshole when playing medic. I HATE it when a medic revives you, but doesnt give you health packs if youre not a med. Alot of the time I watch them, and theyre not even that busy (like going off to heal someone else)...they just want the points/stats for reviving you it seems like. I'm not going to name names, but several decent players do this constantly, and so when I play on axis, I almost never wait for a revive unless its someone like Spaceghost or Syribo, who actually take the time to throw down 2-3 med packs. To all the stingy medics out there, I could easily have tapped out, had full health and had 4 nades, a fully charged panzer, and excellent map position.

man i remember the good ol days when you couldnt even make from the front bunker from all the lt. spam. those were the days i tell you what. now everyone moans about getting shot with a mp40 ,"lets limit those". back in the good ol days there were no limits and the only thing to complain about was that ff was off and you couldnt tk doorblockers,

Well you cant complain about me not giving you ammo. If you look at my stats you will see over 220 ammo packs an hour but I know what you are talking about.
As for med I always give out med packs but I usually do this on the run so you have to follow. Standing still on this server gets you panzed. Half the time the revived player runs off in the other direction and the med packs are wasted. Go figure.
I think you will find the players that do what you are saying are either noobs or they are seasoned players who are more interested in their kill ratios then being a team player. After all you are much more likely to get killed with an ammo pack in your hand than a gun.
Most team players will try to play what the team is missing the most. I have seen games with 25 to 30 on a side and I am the only LT. I hesitate to go Lt when allies unless I am with a good team. When everybody is getting wasted in the trenchs it is just wasted. I would usually go panz in that situation to clear some of the axis out however the noobs usually have them tied up so you cant get one when you really need it the most.
Hopefully the noobs read these posts and learn what they need to do however the seasoned players are unlikely to change their ways. Since there will always be new noobs this is just a part of the game you have to get used to even if it is extremely frustrating.

I do pretty much the same thing. I try to lay down some health, leading them out of the "Kill Zone".
