Question about Internet Explorer

Postby Bagginses » Wed Sep 17, 2003 9:05 am

I didn't know where else to post this and I was thinking that you guys seem like you're pretty smart, so I figure I'd ask you. Anyways, I've been having problems when scrolling through webpages. Pretty much it's just very laggy, it almost seems as if it's "scanning" down the page. I can't think of a better way to describe it. I was just wondering if anyone happened to know what could be wrong with it. Thanks. Strangely, though, this website seems to work perfectly fine. Curious...

Do you have the latest video drivers for your card?
the only time I have had that problem is with the default drivers installed by windows.

well, I've also been having problems with my card. I've got this strange problem where it won't ever recognize my card when I start up. I install the drivers, it says it's ok, then I restart for changes to take effect, then it says I have new hardware installed. I'm contemplating just formatting everything, but I really don't want to.

Check in your IE Internet Options>Advanced tab and see if smooth-scrolling is turned checked off. If it i, turn it off and see if that improves your scrolling speed.

Hmm, problem's still happening. I'm thinking now that it's probably tied in to the problem with my video card. I'll try resetting the BIOS settings to see if that'll help my computer identify my card.
