I think some of you veterans should go in there with a pistol for a few days and see how many kills you rack up--and then consider what it would be like for someone with no skills whatsoever.
Only thing you'd create is a bigger noob killing field. Though I gather that's exactly what some people want at the beach.
Keek.
Respecfully disagree. The problem is the noobs grab the big weapons when on Allies. They don't know enough to get out of the trenchs thereby dying and rendering the weapon useless. If they don't have the weapon then an experienced person wil have it and be able to clear the axis from the places they are swamping the trenchs from.
There will always be noobs on both sides. A noob will almost always lose against a regular no matter what he has in his hands. He is unlikely to get out of the trenchs unless a regular clears the way for him to do so. He will learn mostly by fire fights with noobs on the other side and by seeing how he was defeated by a better player.
I would suggest to any noobs reading this that they sit out for a few games and spec some of the better players to see how they play and then imitate them. They will learn more in 30 minutes of specing then they would in hours of playing themselves.
When I was a noob I learned quickly that I was not using the big weapons effectively since my score was consistanly low. I found and still believe that being a med is the best place for a noob to start. By doing revives and handing out med you are helping your team to victory without being a hinderence. You can also rack up points quickly just from revives and med packs alone. You can also keep yourself alive longer since you have the med.
Using a panzer and killing no one or 1 person per shot is not a help and you are probably blocking people because you dont know how to use the weapon effectively.
I have nothing against noobs at all. They keep the game alive. It is just you cannot start at the top. Leave the big weapons for the people that have those skills. After you are proficient with an SMG the other skills will come naturally.

Maybe stupid question: but how do the n00bs know who are 'better players' ?
I learned it on my own way. Oke, oke...I have to admit...I walked 3 times trough the trenches, and ended up in the forward bunker. And I had a kill avarage of 1 kill/10 rounds

But after a week you learn the whole map. But if some of you guys keep yelling at the newbies, I'd felt unpleasent and just leave. In 6 months you only have a small group of people, and eventually they will leave to (BF 1942, CoD, etc.)
I like your idea ComTech, but we have to help them out sometimes

Advice them to spectate you, me, Keek, Cow, Nofx, and so on, is a good start!

i help them out if they ask but if they dont ask i just yell at them..people should learn to ask questions instead of just guessing and pisssing regualrs off, when if they would've asked the regulars would've helped them out or admins
