I played piano for 9 years, clarinet for 8, and I've been playing guitar now for the past 3 years.

A long time ago I played the trombone. I never really played it, i would just slide the slider-thingy to about where the guy next to me had his. Never learned anything except for a 30 second solo I had once.

I only did it because I got out of some class in 4th grade. I quit after that year. It was funny, the band teacher told me not to, he said I was his best student.

i playued sax in 5th grade for like 2 months and my teacher called me into her office and told me i sucked in a nice way so i quit like a week later

I played trombone for like a month and decided it sucked ass, that was 5th grade, then I started playing guitar in 6th grade and I still do 8 years later. I am also the happy owner of an airline archtop f-hole acoustic guitar, some 70+ years old in mint condition.
