LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Los Angeles officials have asked
that manufacturers, suppliers and contractors stop using the terms
"master" and "slave" on computer equipment, saying such terms are
unacceptable and offensive.

just because some people can't get their mind out of the gutter and are easily offended doesn't mean manufacturers have to change something that has worked very well for MANY years.
