Another Graphics card question
Ok quick performance question here and I am going to my best source of info in you guys!:D
ATi Radeon 9600 XT for 199.99
or the
ATi Radeon 9800 PRO for 299.99
both are 128MB 4x/8x AGP
My question (because money is tight) will I see that much of a difference between the performance of these two cards?
I am currently running a Ti4200 and I know I will see a big difference upgrading to either one but is the 100$ worth the what must be a small amount of performance difference?
Please bless me with your knowledge!

check these benchmarks. looks like the 9800 PRO gives 30% more FPS than the 9600 XT. I'd say its worth the c-note, but the 9600 seems fineif thats all you want to spend.

9800pro is the better choice, but the 9600XT is still a great card. it comes down to this: do you want games running at good FPS, or do you want games running with high settings of AA/AF with HIGHER fps?

Hehe whatever I can get away with. I am running 800X600 on my NVIDIA POS right now.

9800pro = top of the line hardware (preXT's), very long lifespan before upgrade is required
9600XT= Great vaule for great performance, AND you get voucher for HL2. Still a long time before upgrade is required.
If you can afford the 9800pro, grab it. If not, get the XT, you'll still be VERY happy......
