Being nice and warm down here in Texas, we get to deal with two very poisonous types of spiders (reclsue and black widow) and four types of nasty snakes (coral, copperhead, cottonmouth, and rattle snakes).

What a great place to live :)

I know just how you feel. Black widows here are so common I think I see more of them around then cows. Well.... you know w/ the hood getting shot up all the time.:P

well did a little search and found this site http://kaweahoaks.com/html/schizocosa_mcooki.html looks very much like my spider..and i see them pretty often. most are much smaller, like the size of a dime the biger ones the size of a half dollar or silver dollar. another thing is that my neighbor told me the other day that he say one in his house and when he sprayed it with bug spray it ran and was droping little things off it's back... So i'm pretty convinced my spider is a wolf spider, anyway guess i'll look into an exterminator.

here is another picture the first shot was taken from about a foot away...this shot is more like 2- 3 feet away i wanted to put a coin next to it for size comparison but i was barefooted and didn't want to get bitten

The little things coming off were baby spiders. I have killed a million and sometimes they have babies and sometime not.

Spiders are nasty. Luckily I don't have spider problems.

the only thing that ever gets into my house that pisses me off are those damn camel crickets.

spring is here so now they're back

If it is a wolf spider they can leap up to about thirty feet (I think) so I'd get a really big zoom lens, or just run really fast.
