WMD's and Democracy
Well ratings are good but they are corporate owned. The days of free press are gone. These stations do have agendas. They are owned and run by corporations that have a vested interest in who mkaes the rules and who's in office.

You want to tug at someone's heart, because that is what sells.
So true, No question about it. It is sad when you really think about it. We humans, our morbid thoughts of death and despair.... the enigma of that which is forbidden in common civilization assembles such an unrepresentative case of how we live. Yes, what we see in the news is not all bad, but the ratio of what is good news and of what is bad news seems overwhelming sided to filter in our minds that which is death, heartbreak, fear, anger. Why? Simply because it sells. Basic Psychology really. I mean, think, how long will a story about the rescue of five privates from the hellhole of war last before other emotions begin to appear to the general public: jealousy, envy, etc. this in turn will lead to disinterest for the story because we still are so deep with personal egotism. And then compare that with the fear driven-concrete and unchanging- with such a story of two madmen mysteriously sniping innocent citizens in broad daylight. Our thoughts may change when the suspects were caught, but for further news: curiousity- basically a treasure trove for the media. Two big stories, but one sells more to the public. I'm sorry if this seems confusing. But in short.... Bad News sells and that is an unquestionably true Bias and it requires no political affiliation. Sad isn't it?

Now at this point my friend became a typical marine and says something like "Who the hell told you that!? I had to kill my entire family!"
Colonel you are not supposed to tell Marine Corp secerts! You will not be paid a visit:blow:
