Those Concordes are real nice looking planes, too bad they're retired. What was the cause? Something was faulty in them?

Anyway, nice pics Casus! I think I may have found a new desktop background :D

I'm not sure, but I think it's pretty much due to the crash in France a year or two back. I think they just realized that it's a bit too outdated and pricey.

You're right, after that crash a discussion started on how safe the planes really were. They were modified to prevent the planes crashing again from the same error. But despite the modifications, they were retired some time later. Notice how an entire series of planes is retired for just one accident, while seeing other types of planes crashing multiple times and still being in service.
