Hey, it's they're way of life, it doesn't make them stupid. I'm sure people in India think americans are stupid for eating beef, after all, it comes from a sacred animal doesn't it?

Oh wait, that's their religion. Funny how things are different all over the world.

Most western countries were like that a mere two centuries ago. Eventually, human rights will be recongnized world-wide. Hopefully, in some countries they will not throw everything away and keep some remnants of moral values.

Heh, doesn't surprise me.

Go to China, it's much worst where you literally have no rights. Guilty until proven innocent.

Religion and/or politics play a different role in wealthy countries vs poor ones, IMO. In a place where you have nothing, religion and politics become everything. Both are free to have (as in costs nothing) and can be looked upon as the ultimate force in a person's destiny.
Look at the things we consider important, how we spend our time day to day. We really do live in separate worlds from them.
