Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Mutant Enemy

As long as the game is fun (which I have read it is), scary (also heard this), and last more than two days (which depends, I suppose) then I will buy it. I'll wait to hear from some of you who buy it tomorrow to be sure.

How exactly is the Multiplayer/Internet part of the game setup? I would assume that the basic deathmatch exists but I can't seem to find specifics on this subject.

This is about all I know: "Compete in vicious multiplayer action where light, shadows, and a totally dynamic world can be used to your advantage or peril."

... OK

The engine allows for more than 4, but out of the box its only 4. There will mods out shortly that will allow larger amounts of players. ID has warned that anything more than 8 players is going to require a really beefy server.

Multiplayer kind of sucks, you can only have upto 4 people playing. Pretty sad. Single Player is cool though. I will stick to wolf for multiplayer. Hurry up Half-life 2.

I can't wait! I get my copy later on today. I should have no problems running it at 1024x768 high quality on my set-up. At least thats what I've read.

Multiplayer was never the focus of D3, the engine is the main focus. This engine, along with HL2, will be powering games for years to come(much like the Q3 engine and UT engine). Heck, the power of the engine is not even fully tapped since hardware has to catch up to it.

Is the game scripted right to the end or can you expect surprises the second time you play it?
